In his great commentary Peter references the promises made by God to
King David in 2 Samuel 7 that the promised Christ would build God a
spiritual house or family.
Moses, Isaiah, Daniel and all the prophets of Israel understood that the
Temple originally built by Solomon and rebuilt by Ezra and Herod were
only shadows or types of the spiritual house or household that the
Messiah would build for God.
They prophesied that in the last days of the Old Covenant era the temple
of stone would be destroyed and replaced by a spiritual temple made of
living stones, the sons of the Kingdom. The entire New Testament is
written against the backdrop of the judgment that was coming upon
apostate Israel in Peter's day, the coming destruction of the Harlot
City of Jerusalem and the Temple built by Herod, in order that the
heavenly City of Jerusalem and the True Temple (the Church of Jesus
Christ) could be revealed.
"Who are the chosen people of God and the heirs of Messiah's Kingdom,
those born of Jewish flesh or those baptized into Jesus Christ?" This
controversial question almost divided the early Church. However, the
great Apostolic Council convened by the apostles in Jerusalem in A.D.
50, resolved this divisive question in favor of those who had been
baptized into Jesus Christ. (See Acts 15.)
Ironically, the thorny question that almost divided the early Church is
being raised once again in the 21st century. Failing to understand the
revelation of Christ, His Kingdom, and His Church entrusted by Jesus to
His apostles in the 1st Century, and stubbornly refusing to believe even
as Jesus Himself prophesied that the Kingdom has been taken from the
Jews and given to those baptized into Jesus Christ, postponement
preachers like John Hagee, Tim LaHaye, and many others contend the Jews
are still God's chosen people and Christ's Kingdom belongs to them.
Preaching that the Temple must be rebuilt in Jerusalem and animal
sacrifices must be restored before the Messiah can come and establish
the Messianic Kingdom (in spite of the fact the New Testament makes no
mention of such foolishness), they cause great confusion and division in
the body of Christ!
In this final message in his foundations series, "Being Added to Christ
and His Church," Bishop Kouri continues to allow Peter define and
explain the spiritual DNA of the sons and daughters of Messiah's
Kingdom, as well as, the divine architecture of the spiritual house or
temple Jesus is building today. According to the Apostle, the Lord's
Church, made of living stones (the sons and daughters of the Kingdom of
heaven), being built upon the foundation of Jesus Christ the Chief
Cornerstone and His apostles, is God's dwelling place in the world. The
Lord's Church is God's true address in the world, and hurting people,
the wounded, the sick, the broken, the disenfranchised and oppressed,
the lonely, the poor, and the hopeless can come to Christ's Church and
find the living God!
In a time in history when Christ's Kingdom has been hijacked by religion
and His Church divided into many different denominations, this message
is critically important for understanding the true nature of the unity
of the body of Christ, as well as, the Church's global mission conquer
the nations of the the world and fill the earth with the glory of the
sons of God!

Bishop continues his powerful message on the House of God by allowing the Apostle Peter to explain
what it means to come to Jesus as the living Stone and be built
together with other living stones to form a dwelling place (a Living
Temple or House) for God in the Spirit.
In 1 Peter Chapter 2
the Apostle explains what actually happened on the Day of Pentecost, as
3000 men and their families repented of sin and got themselves baptized
into the name of Jesus Christ, becoming members of the body of Jesus
resurrection or the Church that Jesus is building. Speaking
metaphorically or figuratively, Peter describes what happens when people are born again through repentance, valid water baptism, sealed with the Spirit, and added to Christ. Having come to the living Stone (Jesus
Christ the King) and becoming themselves living stones, believers upon the foundation of Christ's Kingship and the foundation of the testimony of His apostles are being built together with other believers to form
a living temple or house for God.

In this critically important message dealing with what it really means to be baptized into Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection, and added His Church, Bishop deals with the difficult and often misunderstood passage about Christ's Millennial Kingdom from the Book of Revelation chapter 20.
Bishop climaxes this powerful message by allowing the Apostle Peter to explain what it means to come to Jesus as the living Stone and be built together with other living stones to form a dwelling place (a New Temple or House for God) for God in the Spirit. In 1 Peter Chapter 2 the Apostle explains what actually happened on the Day of Pentecost, as 3000 men and their families repented of sin and got themselves baptized into the name of Jesus Christ, becoming members of the body of Jesus resurrection, His Church.

In this powerful and important series of messages, based on the Apostles' pattern of laying the foundation of Christ's kingship in a person's life, Bishop Kouri probes the essential question of unity for the 21st century church, "to what or whom are we added really when we are born from above or initiated into Christ's Kingdom?" Contrary to what many assume today, when a person is truly born again, he does not become a member of a denomination or join the church of his choice!
Instead, according to Acts 2:41, 1 Peter 2:4-9, and throughout the New Testament, when we are properly baptized into Jesus Christ, we are not only born again, but also added to Christ and the body of His resurrection. We are made alive to God spiritually, become living stones (sons and daughters of the Kingdom), and as we find placement in the Lord's Church, we are joined or built together with other living stones in our neighborhood or city to become God's dwelling place in that place.
In a time in history when Christ's Kingdom has been hijacked by religion and His Church divided into many different denominations, this message is critically important for understanding the true nature of the unity of the body of Christ, as well as, the Church's global mission conquer the nations of the the world and fill the earth with the glory of the sons of God!

God uses ordinary people!
Joseph, a humble carpenter from Nazareth, falls in love with a girl named Mary. All of a sudden Mary turns up pregnant, as the plan and purpose of God breaks in upon Joseph's life and scrambles it.
As his life appears to be coming apart at the seams, God sends the angel Gabriel with a message: "Joseph, do not be afraid..."
The greatest enemy to faith is not doubt; it is fear. Fear hinders faith and keeps us from doing the will of God. Sometimes the greatest challenge to faith is simply the fear of doing God's will, the fear of the consequences or the cost!
As we face the challenge of a new year the greatest challenge you and I will face is the challenge of not being afraid, not being fearful to do the will of God in our lives. If we can learn not to fear the purpose of God for our lives, we will walk win!

Next to Jesus, the most important person in the Christmas story is Mary!
In reaction to Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox adoration of the Virgin Mary, Protestants often tend to ignore or downplay her. While it is true we should not worship her, it is very important that we honor her! Why did God choose her? What was it about this young Jewish girl that made God choose her? Here is a woman who lived the miracle of Christmas...the miracle of the virgin birth of the Son of God. But not only did she live the miracle of Jesus' birth, she lived the miracle of Christmas the rest of her entire life. Today, we often tend to divorce real life from the supernatural or from living miraculously. But our heavenly Father is interested in us living miraculously every single day, in our personal lives, our marriages, our businesses, and our jobs.
"Mary lived the miracle of Christmas every day the rest of her life!"
In this powerful Christmas message Bishop deals with three things that enabled Mary to do what she did and what it will take for you and me to live the miracle of Christmas every day of our lives!

Based upon Luke 2:8-20, the angel's
announcement to the shepherds of the birth of
Christ the Lord, Bishop Kouri continues to deal with the real message of Christmas.
Amazingly, the angel's announcement of
Messiah's birth didn't shock these shepherds.
Could it be that they were expecting this event?
Reared as Jewish men, they were actually expecting this event to
happen! In this insightful and powerful message Bishop Kouri deals with
the question: "What was the Christmas expectation of the people at the time of Christ's birth in Bethlehem?"
One of the greatest authentications that Jesus is the
Christ, the promised Messiah, is that what happened that night was
exactly what the shepherds expected to happen. God had
revealed to Daniel the prophet that during the time of the Roman Empire
the Messiah would come. Later God revealed to Daniel the exact time
that the Messiah would come. As a result the entire Jewish world was
filled with expectation! They knew what the prophets had promised.
What did the prophets promise? What were the people expecting? What was "The Hope of Israel"?

In this dynamic message Bishop Kouri reviews Peter's and all the original apostles' understanding of the Church as the Heavenly Zion, the Jerusalem above. The same City that John saw coming down from God out of heaven. Bishop explains from the New Testament what really happens today as the Lord's Church gathers on the Lord's Day to ascend in the Spirit to the heavenly Mt. Zion, congregation by congregation, city by city, nation by nation until the whole Church has finally assembled around the throne of Christ the King to judge or govern kings (governments), cities and nations through the Church's corporate prayers!
"To understand all that King Jesus is doing today the modern saint must see by the Holy Spirit what John saw when he was exiled on the Island of Patmos and was caught up to heaven in the Spirit to join with the saints in a heavenly worship service. Just as John saw the Lord coming in the clouds of power and glory and dealing in judgment with the harlot City of Jerusalem and Apostate Israel in his generation, we must see the Lord dealing with the nations of the world in our generation!"

In this message, Part 12b of "Being Added to Christ and His Church," Bishop Kouri allows Peter to define and explain the spiritual DNA of the sons and daughters of Messiah's Kingdom, as well as, the true nature or divine architecture of the spiritual House or Temple King Jesus is building today. According to the Apostle, the Lord's Church, made of living stones (the sons and daughters of the Kingdom of heaven), being built upon the foundation of Jesus Christ the Chief Cornerstone and His apostles, is God's dwelling place in the world. The Lord's Church is God's true address in the world, and hurting people, the wounded, the sick, the broken, the disenfranchised and oppressed, the lonely, the poor, and the hopeless can come to Christ's Church and find the living God!
Instead, according to Acts 2:41, when we are truly baptized into Jesus Christ, we are not only born again but also added to Christ and the body of His resurrection. We are made alive to God spiritually, become living stones, and as we find placement in the Lord's Church, we are joined or built together with other living stones in our neighborhood or city to become God's dwelling place in that place.

In 1 Peter Chapter 2 the great Apostle explains what happened on the Day of Pentecost, as 3000 men and their families repented of sin and got themselves baptized into the name of Jesus Christ, thus becoming members of the body of the 1st Resurrection, the body of Jesus Christ, the Church.
In this message, Part 12 of "Being Added to Christ and His Church," Bishop Kouri allows Peter to define and explain the spiritual DNA of the sons and daughters of Messiah's Kingdom, as well as, the true nature and the divine architecture of the spiritual House or Temple that Jesus is building today. According to the Apostle Peter, the Church, made of living stones (the sons and daughters of the Kingdom of heaven) and built upon the foundation of Jesus Christ the Chief Cornerstone or firstborn Son of the living God and His apostles, Christians are being built together to be God's dwelling place in the world. Because of this the Lord's Church is God's address in the world and hurting people, the wounded, the sick, the broken, the disenfranchised and oppressed, the lonely, the poor and the needy can come to Christ's Church, find the living God, and have their needs met!
Based on the apostolic pattern for laying the foundation of Christ's kingship in a person's life, the pattern established by the Apostle Peter himself in Acts 2 , Bishop Kouri probes the all important question, "to which Church are we added really when we are born from above or initiated into Christ's Kingdom?" Contrary to what many assume today, when we are truly born again, we do not become members of a denomination or even join the church of our choice! Instead, according to Acts 2:41, when we are properly baptized into Jesus Christ, we are born again and added to the body of His resurrection. We are made alive to God spiritually, become living stones, and as we find placement in the Church, we are built together with other living stones in our neighborhood or city to become God's dwelling place in the world.

In this dynamic message, Part 11 of "Being Added to Christ and His
Church," Bishop Kouri allows Peter to explain the DNA (genetic code),
as well as the true nature or architectural structure and
spiritual organization of the Church Jesus declared He would
build. Brother Kouri carefully explains the fact that Peter, like Jesus and all of the apostles, uses a number of very important
analogies or word pictures to explain the true nature and mission of
Christ's Church.
Based on the apostolic pattern for laying the foundation of Christ's
kingship in a person's life, the pattern established by the Apostle
Peter himself in Acts 2 , Bishop Kouri carefully probes the all important
question, "to whose Church are we added when we are born from
above and properly initiated into Christ's Kingdom?" Contrary to what many assume
today, when we are truly born again, we do not become members of a
denomination or even join the church of our choice! Instead, according
to Acts 2:41, when we are properly baptized into Jesus Christ, we are
added to His body and become members of the One Church of Jesus Christ, which is the
body of Christ's Kingdom purpose!

A critically important message dealing with the question, "Who are the chosen people of God today, Jews according to the flesh or those who have had their hearts circumcised by getting themselves properly baptized into Jesus Christ!"
The answer to this divisive question determines to whom the promises and the Kingdom of God belong. Thankfully, Brother Kouri allows Jesus and Peter answer this very divisive and all important question for us.

Contrary to what many preach, when a person gets converted, he or she does not become a member of some denomination (even if it is historic) or "join the church of his choice." Drawing on Luke's dramatic account of the conversion of 3000 souls on the day of Pentecost and Paul's powerful commentary on this event in Hebrews 6:1-3, Brother Kouri explains the true meaning and significance of Acts 2:41, 42 and Revelation 20:4-6. (In Acts 2:41 we read that those who "received Peter's command where added to the Church" and in Revelation 20:4-6 we read, "Blessed is he who has part in the first resurrection...they shall reign with Christ for a thousand years.") Contrary to the popular belief, you and I do not join the church of our choice, but when we are baptized into Christ we are added to the "General Church", the body of the Messiah!
In this eye-opening message Bishop deals with what it really means to be added to the body of Jesus and to find valid placement in the household or family of God under authentic spiritual authority or Kingdom government!

Pastor Sandra Kouri ministers Part 2 of her two-part message on inner healing and deliverance.
After Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, John tells us he was still bound with grave clothes! Jesus commanded His disciples, "loose him and let him go free." While many have heard the voice of the Son of God and have been raised from spiritual death, they are still bound in their lives by the spirit of rejection, unforgivness, bitterness, or similar strongholds in their lives. In this powerful and informative message, Pastor Sandra deals with getting free from the hurts of the past, bad habits, addictions, hidden sins, and other things that bind us up and keep us from enjoying the liberty of the sons and daughters of God or walking in victory.

According to the ancient prophets of Israel, the distinctive mark or characteristic of Messiah's Day would be the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon all mankind to bring forth a new creation. Jesus called the gift of the Holy Spirit in the believer's life, "the promise of the Father." In Luke's Gospel Jesus confidently declared, "the Father will give the Spirit to them that ask Him." And in the Acts of the Apostles Peter declared "God gives the Holy Spirit to all who obey Him."
Sunday March 22 Bishop Kouri continues his life-changing message "Building Your Life On The Unshakable Foundation of The Kingdom" with Part 7, "The Essential Question In Kingdom Initiation."
In Acts 19, the Apostle Paul asks disciples of the Lord in the city of Ephesus, "Have you received the Spirit since you believed?" They answer, "We have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit." Paul then asks them, "Into what then were you baptized.?"
Thus we see that the essential question in Kingdom or Christian initiation is, "Have you received the Spirit?"
Everything Jesus did in His life and ministry was so that you and I can receive the indwelling Spirit of God for power to live like Jesus and to do the same things that Jesus did in His life and ministry

In the sermon on the mount Jesus said,
"Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." The word translated
"pure" means
single minded or
devoted. Jesus was declaring that if we want God move in our lives in power and glory, and truly get to know Him, then we must be single minded in our devotion.
The Apostles James warned,
"the double minded man will receive nothing from the Lord."
Moses declared to Israel,
"the Lord your God is a jealous God," and He Himself declared through the prophet Jeremiah,
"You shall look for me and find me, when you look for me with all your heart."
This podcast is from Wednesday night meeting on March 11. In it Bishop Kouri deals with the reason many of us do not see the answers to our prayers and experience the fellowship or communion with the Lord that we desire. If you long to walk more closely with the Lord, if you long to know Him better, if you desparately need answers to your prayers, then this is the message for you!

Pastor Kouri continues his eye-opening and
life-changing series, "Vision 2009 And Beyond" with Part 5, "Building
Your Life On An Unshakable Foundation!"
In the upper room in Jerusalem before His death on the cross, Jesus
promised His disciples that after His ascension, He would send the Holy
Spirit to indwell and empower all those who would believe and obey the
Gospel. On the day of Pentecost the Apostle Peter declared, "repent and
be baptized upon the basis of the name of Jesus and you shall receive
the Holy Spirit." Later the Apostle Paul asked some Jesus' disciples in
the City of Ephesus in Asia Minor, "have you received the Spirit since
you believed?" Thus we see that one of the essential dimensions or
ingredients of a valid Kingdom initiation is the experience of
receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.
How did this happen in the early Church? How does it happen today? In Part 5 of "Building Your
Life On The Unshakable Foundation" Brother Kouri continues to deal with how to
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit for power to live like Jesus today.
This dynamic series of messages is based upon the theme "What is the
Spirit saying to the Churches" from Revelation 2:1, 7, 8, 11, 12, 17,
18,29, and 3:1, 6, 7, 13, 14, 22. In this eye-opening series of
messages Brother Kouri speaks to the saints of the King's Church about,
"what God is doing in our lives individually, as a congregation, and as
part of His global Church, and what the Spirit is saying to us in light
of these things!"

In Part 2 on January 11 he spoke from a Pastoral perspective about what God is doing and what the Spirit is saying to the King's Church members individually about valid Kingdom foundations, individual freedom from the hurts and disappointments of the past, spiritual strongholds and demonic oppression, discovering individual gifts and callings, and going on to maturity and receiving our individual inheritances as sons and daughters of the Kingdom. In Part 3 Brother Kouri speaks to us as the bishop or overseer of the King's Church specifically about what God is saying to us as a church body (part of the larger Church in Jacksonville) about becoming a truly worshiping and ministering community. In this strategic message he shares what God is doing by His Spirit and providentially to move the King's Church from where we are in our experience as a body to where He wants us to be, and what the Spirit is saying to us about what should be happening on the Lord's day as we assemble to worship the King and pray Kingdom prayers to change governments and nations. In this message bishop also shares what the Spirit is saying to us as a ministering community about meeting the needs of the people of Jacksonville. To listen to this message click here.
In Part 4 Brother Kouri speaks apostolically and prophetically about what God is doing in the nations today, and what the Holy Spirit is saying to the churches globally about an apostolic reformation and the transformation of governments and nations. In this powerful and insightful message he talks about the difference between Logos and Rhema and shares practically what we can do as individuals and as a church body to get involved in the work and participate in the apostolic and prophetic strategies the Lord is giving His Church today to bring forth a true reformation of the Church and disciple the nations. In
light of the glorious announcement of the birth of the Son of God,
angels, light shining all around, and the glory of God are easy to
understand. But the fact that ordinary shepherds understood and
received the angel's announcement is amazing! Luke says that they
immediately arose from the fields near Bethlehem and went to where the
Child was. Could it be that they were actually expecting the miraculous thing that had happened?
In this message Bishop Kouri answers the question: What where the shepherds expecting and what should we expect today?

Sunday Morning: Bishop Alexander Chisango, visiting from Zimbabwe, ministers Part 2 of his powerful three-part message on Receiving Apostolic Grace. Today, so many Christians seem to live lives of futility, failure, and defeat just like those in the world system. How can we receive the grace of God in our lives so that we can reign in life and be effective ministers of the grace of God to others?

Next to Jesus Himself the most important person in the Christmas story is Mary!
Why did God choose her? What was it about her that caused God to pick Mary to be the mother of His only begotten Son? Here is a woman who lived the miracle, not just in Christ's birth, but in the rest of her entire life. She not only carried the baby in her womb, birthed Him, nurtured Him, followed and served Him in His ministry, watched Him at the cross as He died, saw Him alive again after His resurrection, received the Spirit sent by Him (even speaking in tongues on the day of Pentecost), but she became a prominent leader in the Apostolic Church.
Like mary, the Lord wants all of us to move from experiencing momentary miracles to living miraculously every day, in our personal lives, our marriages, our families, our businesses, our jobs, and in everything. What was it about mary that let her live miraculously every day? What is it going to take for us to do the same?

Bishop Kouri teaches from Acts 2:41-47 concerning
Kingdom Culture. The early Church faithfully demonstrated the life and culture of the Kingdom of heaven! As the fruit of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and power upon their lives, and their devoted obedience to the apostles' teaching of Christ's Kingdom commands, the culture of the Kingdom of God developed among them. They eventually demonstrated such love for one another, such powerful fellowship, and communion that they even sold their material possessions and shared the proceeds with any who had need. As a direct result of their faithful obedience to the commands of their Lord and King, whatever they asked, desired, or commanded in His Name He did, and consequently great miracles took place among them. Their fellow Israelites were so moved by the obvious demonstration of Kingdom culture and the power of God evident in their midst that multitudes were being added to their community every day!
The Lord is in the process of restoring this same life and culture to the Church in the 21st century. What is it going to take for the modern Church to demonstrate the culture of the Kingdom of Heaven?

Sandra Kouri finishes her 2 part message on Christian outreach and
meeting the needs of the others through God's love and hospitality. According to Jesus Himself, the mark of authentic Christianity is "love for one another." Jesus declared it would be our love for one another and for those outside the household of faith that would demonstrate to the world we are His disciples. Her husband Bishop Kouri writes, "In over fifty years of Christian Ministry Sandra's simple message on love and hospitality is one of the greatest I have ever heard."

Part 3 of Bishop Kouri's exposition of Revelation 15:3, The Song of the Lamb. The Song of the Lamb
is a prophetic song of victory and dominion based upon the ancient
prophesy given to the Prophet Isaiah by the Spirit of Christ hundreds
of years before His incarnation. In this prophetic song, the Lamb of God
prophesies the historic judgment that ultimately came upon apostate
Israel in 70 AD as the Kingdom of God was taken from Old Covenant
Israel and given to the saints of New Covenant Israel.
The early
Apostolic Church sang this song as a their testimony of their faith in
King Jesus and His victory over Satan's power, as they faced fierce
persecution instigated by the Chief Priests and Elders of Israel and
prosecuted by the Romans against Christ and His Church in the first
century AD. This prophetic song was historically fulfilled in 70 AD
with the burning of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Temple by the
Romans, but it is still relevant for Christians and for Christ's Church
as we face today's battles with the Kingdom of darkness in the 21st
Century.
