King's Church Thanksgiving Love Feast Menu And Food Assignments

Sunday, November 23rd is rapidly approaching and my mouth is already watering!

We will have a special Thanksgiving meal together at l2 noon The Apostolic Church of the 1st Century was widely known for it's love. Their love was demonstrated by sharing meals together. These were called "love feasts". November 23rd the King's Church will celebrate the Lord's goodness to this nation and all of us by celebrating Thanksgiving meal together, a love feast. The regular order will be changed. Instead of the usual, we will worship and give thanks to the Lord around dining tables, enjoying a wonderful meal together. This special Thanksgiving "love feast" will be climaxed by receiving and sharing with one another God's great love by taking communion together.

We are planning for 50 people.  If you have a special guest, that is wonderful!  However, please let me know so we will not be caught off guard with unexpected guests and insufficient food.

As you can see, we still need someone to bring gravy, a vegetable salad, several jugs of ice tea, and whip cream.   If you are willing to bring any of these items, let me know.

Also, if you have a Thanksgiving speciality that you want to make and bring, please do so!

Please bring your dish in an attractive container (or bring a container to put it in) as we will be serving buffet style.

I will need some help on Saturday in setting up the tables so let me know if you can help then also.

Please have your food at the church, no later than ll:40.  Let me repeat (as this is very important) please have your food at the church by ll:40!

Mark your calendar and make plans now to join the King's Church for a special Thanksgiving!

Love to all,

Sandra
