Susan Pyles, Jeremy Kaneer, and others enjoy pizza and desert in the King's Cafe before the Ministry Council Meeting!
Sunday January 11 the various heads of the Ministries and Outreaches for the King's Church met together in council to plan the ministries and outreaches for 2009 and beyond. The primary order of business was to recognize, clarify assignments, and release the various ministry heads to take hold of their assignments and move forward to implement decisions made in our Church meeting several months ago. A number of key decisions were made in council together.
Beginning Wednesday evening January 21our Wednesday night Discipleship training and prayer meeting will begin an hour earlier, at 6:00 PM instead of 7:00 PM. This will enable more of our people to attend; also, nursery care will be made available for those with small children.
Also, beginning this month Susan and Teben Pyles, together with Kathy Hayes and the Hospitality Ministry, will take responsibility to co-ordinate regular monthly activities for the King's Cafe (high school youth) and the College and Carreer groups. These activities will include special movie nights and attending youth events in the region. More details later!
Watch the King's Church website (calendar and news pages) for more information as the various ministries begin to gear-up for this new year!
