The illustration to the left is an ancient print of a 14th Century painting of Jesus of Nazareth, who is portrayed by the artist as risen, ascended, and enthroned as King of the universe, seated at the right hand of God the Father on the throne of David and ruling heaven and earth as the Son of David and the Son of God.

(It is called by ancient Christians the PANTOCRATOR, which simply means ALMIGHTY GOD).

We believe Jesus of Nazareth is the virgin born Son of God, who in the mystery of the incarnation is both fully God and fully human. In His death, descent into hell, regeneration, resurrection, ascension and enthronement, God the Father has made Jesus both Lord and Christ, i.e. the Ruler of the kings of the earth. He is the Mediator and High Priest of the New Covenant in His blood and the Savior of all mankind who through and because of His indistructible life is able to save to the uttermost all who come to God the Father through Him. He is the Chief Apostle and Head of His Church, which is His body, the body of His Kingdom purpose to make right everything that is wrong in the world, bring forth a new creation, and fill all things with the glory of God.

This is the ancient faith that Jesus and the first apostles laid as the foundation of His Church in the very beginning of Christianity. Our passion at the King's Church is to rediscover this authentic faith of Jesus and the original apostles of the Lamb (i.e. Peter and the others) and the first ascension-gift apostles (i.e. Paul and Silas) and apply that faith to our individual lives and to our contemporary world. Just as the first century Christians, we believe Jesus is the fully God and fully human. He is the Savior of the world and King of heaven and earth today. Seated on the throne of His father David at the right hand of God in heaven He is in the process of forgiving sins, pouring out the Holy Spirit on all who believe and obey the Gospel, and bringing forth a whole new creation, i.e. the sons and daughters of the Kingdom of God. As the ruler of the nations today, King Jesus is also riding the heavens and in response to the prayers of His saints, He is judging the nations and making right everything that is wrong with the world.
