Bishop Michael Babin's visit Sunday October 26 and Wednesday October 29 was a powerful time of prophetic encouragement and supernatural healing.
We had close to 50 people in attendance Sunday morning, a record high since Sandra and I have been here.
There were 8 children in the King's Kids and 3 in the nursery. We had parkers and greeters for the first time. Those who came early (15 to 20 folks) enjoyed coffee and refreshments in the King's Cafe. Our worship service began with a film clip (also a first) featuring the dynamic oratory of one of the great black pastors of the century asking, "Do you know my Jesus? He's my King!"He lauded and extolled the many virtues and achievements of Jesus. It lasted about 30 seconds, was great fun and very powerful. Our worship was anointed and Bishop Michael Babin ministered prophetically on "Overcoming". After the ministry of the word, Michael ministered prophetically and prayed for all who needed healing. We have received a number of wonderful testimonies of those with chronic illness who received miraculous healings, including my own son, Mark Kouri who received a significant healing of his back.
Our people hung around the building after the meeting enjoying Christian fellowship with one another. I could tell from the numerous comments and conversations that they were excited and blessed not only by Bishop Babin's ministry, but also by the new look, direction, and ministries of the King's Church, bringing wonderful opportunities to serve our wonderful King.
The big concern we face now as we catch a new vision and move from spiritual family to becoming a worshiping and ministering community is that we are going to need a bigger building.
Wednesday night Bishop Babin ministered powerfully on Healing Chronic Illness. He opened the Scriptures in a powerful way, demonstrating how Jesus healed all who came to him believing for healing and teaching us how to receive and maintain healing.
